Retort pouch in NY/AL/RCPP laminates, 100-130 micron per side, 8-color printing, sizes 115x180+80 mm and 200x300 mm. Boiling resistant for retort food packing; MOQ from 30,000 pcs.
Product Details
A retort pouch is a flexible laminated bag built to hold food through heat sterilisation without losing seal strength or print quality. This range covers the two formats most often requested by processors and co-packers: a stand-up style pouch with a bottom gusset and a flat three-side-seal pouch for straight-filled products.

Both formats are quoted on the same laminate platform, so a single artwork programme can be applied across the gusseted and the flat pouch without re-approving the film structure.
Four-Layer Laminate for Retort Conditions
The structure is the part that decides whether a pouch survives the retort cycle. The outer NY (nylon) layer carries the print and takes the mechanical abuse of filling, while the aluminium foil layer provides the barrier that keeps oxygen and light away from the product. Behind the foil, NY adds puncture resistance and RCPP forms the product-contact sealing layer that bonds under heat and pressure.
Where a simpler film is enough, NY/RCPP is offered without the foil layer. For heavier duty packs, PET/AL/NY/RCPP and NY/PET/RCPP add further dimensional stability. All options are produced at 100–130 micron per side.
Eight-Color Printing and Seal Integrity
Eight-color rotogravure printing lets a brand carry full photographic imagery, ingredient panels and regulatory text in one pass, with colour held consistently across repeat orders. The seal area is kept free of ink so the RCPP surfaces bond directly to each other.
Seal width, pressure and dwell are set per format so the finished pouch keeps its integrity after the sterilisation cycle. Finished rolls and pouches are inspected before packing, and the materials meet ISO9001, FDA, BSCI and RoHS requirements, with BPA-free construction throughout.
Boiling and Retort Scenarios
These pouches are specified for boiling resistance, which covers the two situations buyers ask about most often: pouches that are boiled before opening, and pouches that go through a pressurised retort cycle as the primary sterilisation step. Ready meals, sauces, pet food and shelf-stable components are the typical applications.
Because the inner layer is RCPP rather than a standard PE sealant, the pouch holds its seal through the heat load instead of softening at the seam. Product fill weight, headspace and retort profile should be confirmed against the chosen format before the first production run.
MOQ, Carton Packing and Lead Time
Minimum order quantity is 50,000 pcs for the 115 × 180 mm pouch with 80 mm bottom gusset and 30,000 pcs for the flat 200 × 300 mm pouch. Both are packed 200 pcs to a PE bag, 25 bags (5,000 pcs) to a carton at 10.4 kg per carton, which keeps handling and container loading straightforward.
Production lead time is 10–15 days, quoted EXW. Artwork files, material option and pouch size should be confirmed together so the print run and the film structure are locked before production starts.
